Anthony Steven Quinones was born on Sunday, February 4th, 1979, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the third and last-born son of the union between Kathleen “Kathy” Quinones Sapp and David McKinley. Anthony was the sixth child and baby boy born to his mother, Kathy. He was and continued to be his mother’s “baby” until her passing in 2010. Even in his thirties, his mother continued to talk baby talk to him. Everyone who knew Anthony and his family, knew that he was his mother’s heart and her favorite child. He was not at all ashamed of this position and wore it as a badge of honor and would even brag about it. As the baby of six, he was spoiled and the center of attention. His siblings we would tease him that he never got in trouble with their mom, however, he would always counter with the one time that he says that his mother smacked the “Sh—" out of him because he was misbehaving at our grandmother’s funeral.

Anthony grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he also received his early childhood education. He later went on to earn his GED. Anthony’s life journey was hard and full of life altering decisions and experiences. However, despite it all, he was blessed to be able to leave New York and start over in Rhode Island where ultimately, he met and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Genesis. They were married in June of 2021 after a brief courtship. Anthony was also the proud father of two beautiful daughters, from earlier relationships. Octavia, his first-born child, who is affectionally known as Tay-Tay but mostly called, Aricia by her father, the middle name he gave her and Tamia his baby girl, whom he lovingly called “Mia.” He was also blessed to have a precious granddaughter named Treu A’Mora. Anthony has left his handprint on the fabric of his daughters’ lives and has left the best part of himself within them.

Anthony loved to write and would still hand write letters. He also loved music and cooking, which he came by honestly from his mother. One of his favor dishes was seafood. He had a keen tastebud for good, “seasoned” food. He was a fashionista and stayed up on the latest fashion trends. Anthony also loved animals especially cats and his wife’s two dogs. He also like to help with the family’s live chickens. Anthony also enjoyed his job. He was a certified Forklift Operator and worked on various agricultural and landscaping jobs.

Anthony was known for his “sayings” that we proudly dubbed “Anthonyisms”: "I am the paterfamilias"; "Remember meeeeee!"; "It's never good-bye, it's see you later"; "I'm a tiiiiiga"; "Stop the CAP!"; "You lyin' like a Persian rug"; "Make no mistake I'm like that! FACTS!"; "I'm active in the urban community!"; "When I'm gone you gon' rememba me!"; "She a funky joint"; "Certified goofball"; "I'm Kathleen's son!"; "Ya'll niggas be cappin at a all-time high!"; “I'm Kathleen's baby."; "Me? I'm from Brooklyn!"; "You a cold slug"

Anthony departed into eternal rest on Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022.
